Happy New Year again …Chinese New Year this time!
We were having a discussion here at the front desk the other day about what animal we are in the Chinese calendar. (I’m the year of the rooster. Andrew is the year of the pig. Ha!) And a guest asked if Nashville has any Chinese New Year stuff going on. I had no idea.
So I thought I should do some checking. (I learned a lot!) Did you know that the date of Chinese New Year changes every year? It can be pretty much anytime between late January and late February.
And did you know that Nashville does have events happening for it? Yes! It’s on February 9 this year. The Chinese Arts Alliance of Nashville is putting it on at the Belcourt Theater. Looks really cool, including a performance by the “Lion Dance and Drum Team”.
Have a good year of the rat!

went to the pink slip bar last night…this MAY be the best bar in town. hands down. i mean, where else can one go to see a girl in a pink slip, laying in bed watching tv, for hours. oh, dont get me wrong, she moves around every now and then…like, one time, she got up and poured herself some water..than one time, she called someone on the phone. riveting i say, riveting. and im not even mentioning the TOP notch entertaiment that place has…a must see if you live in nashville or are visiting nashville!
Hi Mordecai!
Thanks for the review. I’m glad you enjoyed the place, it is definitely a must see kinda place. It’s certainly the most unique bar that I’ve ever been to.
Cheers to the Pink Slip!
