Great to Meet You Nashville, My Name is Dane
I’ve been a bellman and shuttle driver at Hotel Preston since July 2004. There’s a lot to like about my job, but I really enjoy dealing with all the different people and different situations every day. It’s something new all the time.
In my off time, I guess I’m a pretty regular 46-year-old guy. I like going to University of Tennessee and Tennessee Titan football games. I like grilling out, and going out to different places to eat with my wife, Dora. And I do enjoy a good, cold beer.
I also get a kick out of spending time with our animals. Barkley McGruff is a pit bull/mutt mix and we have a full-blooded black and tan coon dog named Minnie Pearl. Our big fat tabby cat is named Dixie.
I do motivational speaking on the side pertaining to customer service in the hotel business, and one day I’d like to increase that work and write a book on the subject. That’s one of my goals.
Other than that, I guess it’s bills that inspire me to get up every morning.
